Hello folks!

Here is my promised comment on your assessment criteria for podcasts and vodcasts. Firstly, I would like to give you a feedback on language first and secondly, I will give you feedback on a content level.

1. Feedback on a language level:

Criteria for Podcasst
-> hint: podcast is written with only one „s“

- Is the pronounceation correct? (british english or american english)
-> hints: spelling wrong with the difficult word „pronunciation“, with language one always uses capital letters: „British English or American English“

- Are there breaks corosponding to the text?
-> hint: spelling mistake with „corresponding“

- Is it spoken in the right tempo?
-> hint: „tempo“ is a German word, in English „speed“ is better

- Does the author keep the podcast interessting?
-> hint: there is a spelling mistake in „interesting“: only one „s“

- Is the vodcast entertaining and informating?
-> hint: here the correct adjective is „informative“

2. Feedback on a content level:
Formal aspects:
- What about the language level used in the podcast or vodcast? Do you use „written language“ which is very boring to listen to when read out or lively „spoken language“?
- Are there so called „filler words“ you could get rid of?
- What about Syntax? Are the sentences short enough so that the listeners are able to follow the content?

As regards content:
- Is the topic integrated in a greater context to make it understandable?
- Is the content complete or are there important aspects missing?
- Is the content plausible?
- Are there enough examples given to make the text lively and easy to understand?
- Is there a clear differentiation between objective report and subjective interpretation respectively the opion of the speaker?

That’s it so far. What do you think?
S.M.
